After the Liberation in 1878, temples were erected to commemorate the victory and the fallen soldiers - St. Alexander Nevski in Sofia, the church in the town of Shipka, the cathedral Sveta Bogoroditza in Varna, and Sveti Sedmochisfenitzi in Sofia.
