Varna is the largest city on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. It is situated on several terraces of 3 to 20 metres of height above the sea level, in the north-east part of Bulgaria. In the vicinity, on the north of the city, there ale located the resorts St. St. Konstantin and Elena, Sunny Day, Golden Sands, famous for the European quality of the services they offer and for the ecologically clean territories on which they are spread.

With its population of 360 000 people, Varna is the third largest city in Bulgaria with regard to its population and size, after the capital Sofia and the city of Plovdiv. With its exceptionally rich centuries-long history, found in the 6-th century B.C., with the oldest gold treasure in the world, the city attracts tourists from all over the world.

In the summer in Varna are organized numerous cultural, congress and sports events which has won the city the fame of the sea capital of Bulgaria. The combination of the long hot summer and the beaches with fine gold sand make Varna a preferred place for your summer holiday. The average day temperature during the summer season is 27 , and the temperature of the sea water is 24 . The beaches are level and at some places they can be up to 20 metres wide, the sea bottom is smooth and sandy, there are rarely any rocks.
