The house in which the April Uprising was declared on 20 April 1876.

The house is situated in the front part of a small yard, fenced from the street with a stone wall. It was built in three stages:

  • a wooden dwelling - burnt down
  • a restored and enlarged ground floor
  • a superstructure floor above part of the ground floor - 1875

It underwent a capital restoration in 1988 -1991 The exhibition was open on 1 May 1993 and was dedicated to 20 April 1876 - the day on which the April Uprising was declared.
