Date: 29.09.2005

Adobe will present their newest products on the Bulgarian market with a "Creative Day" of expert demonstrations and training at Sofia's Palace of Culture.

The main purpose of the day is to have Adobe experts introduce customers to the new platform approach that lies in the new Adobe Creative Suite 2 and Video Collection Pro 2.6.

Adobe is looking towards an integrated platform of products, working together seamlessly, so that efficiency and productivity lead to new levels of ease of use, Joe Girling, Adobe Systems Regional Director for Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, said.

The company's new products are an answer to the huge technological changes and the growing demand for information access at all times and places, Girling said. Mobile phone technology demands are rapidly growing too, and Adobe wants to offer solutions that meet those demands, he added.

Alan Rosenfeld, Senior Evangelist for Adobe Creative Suite will be showing techniques that he used in other world regions in one of the highlights of the program in the Palace of Culture. He will also focus in the possibilities that the products offer of authoring for mobile telephones.

The Adobe Creative Suite 2 will cost about USD 1 400.

Girling also commented on the upcoming acquisition of Macromedia, clarifying that it still needs to be approved by the US government. The acquisition's main goal is to combine the strengths of the programs and enhance web offering by Adobe.

Field integration between the two should be seen in early 2006, Girling commented, but it wont be before two, two and a half years that a new generation of products is born from the cooperation.

Due to fast developments in the Eastern European market Adobe has opened a new office in Prague to handle the region. Girling said that the company is pleased with the results that their Bulgarian partner BMG has produced - an increase in customers of almost 100%.
