Sofia set watches right with EU treaty ratification pace

Date: 20.10.2005

Six EU member states are expected to ratify Bulgaria's EU Treaty of Accession by the end of the year.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Dimiter Tsanchev briefed journalists about the results of the meeting of Bulgarian ambassadors accredited to EU member states, which was hosted by the Foreign Ministry.

The parliaments of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark, the Czech Republic and Greece are expected to ratify the document.

Greece's ratification will take place November 2 - just after the monitoring report about Bulgaria will be released on October 25.
