The great powers help Bulgaria in Libya

Date: 29.01.2006

"It's obvious that the case of the Bulgarian nurses in Libya has gone beyond the boundaries of the criminal law," said lawyer Todor Batkov, member of the Bulgarian Agency for Promoting Ties with Libya. According to him, the most important thing at the moment is that a constructive dialogue with the decisive mediation of the Great Powers - the USA, Great Britain, the EU - has started and solutions of the case are searched for.

In his opinion, both the politicians and the Great Powers are unyielding in their resolute decision to find an outcome that would be acceptable for Bulgaria.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry announced that quadrilateral negotiations between representatives of Libya, Bulgaria, the USA and the EU are currently held in Sofia under conditions of full discretion. The French site APM Sante released that a French medical mission left for Libya to examine the HIV-infected Libyan children.
