International Film Festival, Sofia Film Fest (SFF)

"Lady Zee", directed by Georgi Dyulguerov received the Award of the Central European Initiative "for portraying contemporary life in Bulgaria both realistically and poetically". The 2,500 euro award is conferred to the best film in the three festival sections - feature, documentary and short films, for best presentation of modern life and intercultural dialogue.

"Georgi and the Butterflies" of Director Andrei Paounov won the Prize of the Audience for Best Documentary Film, and "Life with Sophia" of Svetla Tsotsorkova received the special mention
of the jury in the short film section.

"Lady Zee" was shown for the first time at a closed screening at SFF 2005. The film has won a number of prestigious international awards: the Best Film Award at Sarajevo 2005, the Audience Award at New Montreal FilmFest 2005 and the Golden Aphrodite Award at the Love Is Folly 2005 Film Festival at which Anelia Gurbova, starring in the film, also won the Best Actress Award.

"Georgi and the Butterflies" won the Silver Wolf award, the most prestigious documentary film award, at Amsterdam 2005.

"Life with Sophia" won the Jameson Award for Best Bulgarian Short Film at SFF-2004.
