Minister Danailov returned from a one-week visit to Moscow

Date: 30.01.2006

A protocol on cultural cooperation between Bulgaria and Russia will probably be signed in Sofia in
March. A concrete project on joint actions and cultural events for a period of two years will be enclosed to it, the Culture Ministry's Press Centre said Friday in a message prompted by Culture Minister Stefan Danailov's return from a one-week visit to Moscow.

During the visit Danailov had a series of useful meetings with Russian Culture Minister Alexandr Sokolov, Mikhail Shvidkoy, Chairman of the Federal Agency for Culture and Cinematography,
Valery Draganov, Chairman of the Committee of Economic Policy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism with the State Duma and Yosif Kobzon, Chairman of the Parliamentary Culture Committee. He also
 conferred with eminent Russian artists.

The sides will exchange written proposals about the lineup of working groups that will be in charge of drafting a two-year cultural calendar. The implementation of this project will be directed by a Bulgarian-Russian public forum and will cover different spheres.
