Black Storks Fly over Rousse

Date: 03.09.2006

A nest with three black storks was discovered by ecology inspectors near the Rousse village of Tabachka. The birds are protected by the Biologic Diversity Act _ they are among the endangered species included in Bulgaria's and Europe's Red Books.

In the meantime the German E.OH company, which bought the Electric Distribution Company  in Varna  will install bird protection on powerlines in the region of Mogilishte and Seltze Dobrich villages. A week ago 25 storks were killed there. The installations will prevent the birds from perching on the deadly wires.
