Bulgaria's Share in Burgas-Alexandroupolis Pipeline Decreased to 24.5 %

"The shares of Bulgaria and Greece in the Burgas-Alexandroupolis pipeline can be decreased to 24.5 %," said Asen Gagauzov, Minister of Regional Development and Public Works for the bTV.

Russia will hold the 51 % majority share. According to previous arrangements, each country had to hold a 33 % share in the pipeline project.

Other countries might also be involved in the construction of the pipeline.

"Gas from the Caspian region and the Middle East might also be supplied through the pipeline," said Rumen Ovcharov, Bulgaria's Economy and Energy Minister for the Bulgarian National Radio.
