Prices of Grape Go Up by 30 %

Date: 10.09.2006

Vine farmers expect that prices of grape will be 30 % higher this year

"After last year's poor harvest producers expect that the yield will reach 5000-7000 kg of high quality grape per ha," said Denko Georgiev of the National Vine and Wine Chamber.

Currently a kilogram of grape sells at 0.8-0.9 levs (1 euro = 1.95583 levs) but because of the better quality of the crop producers expect that prices will be higher this year.
