Brits to Invest in Garlic Factory in Bulgaria

Date: 20.10.2006

British investors are planning to build a factory for processing and packing garlic.

Greyfriars Bulgaria Limited is hoping to create a network of quality garlic producers in the eastern Bulgarian region of Tundzha.

The deputy mayor of the Tundzha municipality Pencho Penev has met with John Smith and Charles Merson from the company and discussed their ideas for investing in the region.

The Brits are ready to help garlic producers invest in their own land and give them seeds and know-how on growing the vegetable. Those who sign a contract allowing the company to buy their goods at competitive prices will also be able to use the company's machinery in the growing process.
