PM: Govt Works Hard for Preserving Bulgarian Culture Abroad

Date: 04.11.2006

Bulgaria has worked out long-term projects for preserving culture in Bulgarian communities abroad and protection of their rights, said PM Sergey Stanishev at the Friday session of the Parliament.

The government is in contact with more than 700 Bulgarian associations, clubs and libraries all over the world and keeps a solid policy for integration of young Bulgarians abroad.

"The government works hard for preserving the Bulgarian spirit and culture in Bulgarian communities all over the world", Stanisev added.

Educational Ministry's budget provides for books in Bulgarian for the communities abroad. The Bulgarian Orthodox Church also plays a major role in preserving the Bulgarian spirit abroad.
