A snowboarder has caused an avalanche in the Pirin Mountain Saturday morning, the mountain rescue service has announced.
The man wasn't trampled by the snow, but the avalanche alert in the Bulgarian mountains is still high, Darik News reported.
Reduced visibility has made matters worse and winds are increasing the risk of avalanches.
A man was killed Friday when an avalanche hit a hut in the Rila mountain, right under Bulgaria's highest peak of Musala. Mountain rescuers warn that tourists should not stray from the beaten paths and skiers and snowboarders should forget about extreme off-track experiences for a while.
