World Bank grants Bulgaria USD 500,000 for feasibility study

Date: 28.04.2007

The World Bank will grant Bulgaria USD 500,000 to carry out a feasibility study for the rehabilitation of four accumulation lakes in the country, Bulgaria's Regional Development Ministry said on Monday.

The money will be allocated from the Japan Policy and Human Resources Development Fund (PHRD), a joint venture between the Japanese government, which provides the funding, and the World Bank, which manages them.

The feasibility study will look at the opportunities for the rehabilitation of the Neykovtsi, Plovdivtsi, Luda Yana and Studena accumulation lakes.
