First Bulgarian tour of Vasko Vassilev starts

Date: 25.11.2007

Famous Bulgarian violinist Vasko Vassilev will stage his first tour in Bulgaria in late November and early December 2007.

Vassilev has performed numerous concerts in the country, but has not toured Bulgaria.

The tour, FreeMix, would consist of popular melodies as well as new repertoire, combining, among others, Balkan and Bulgarian folklore, Spanish flamenco, Argentinean tango and gypsy rhythms.

Six musicians, who have played with Madonna, Spice Girls, Duran Duran, Take That and Chambao would accompany Vassilev on stage.

The concerts will be held on November 28 and 30 and on December 1 and 2, respectively in Veliko Turnovo, Blagoevgrad, Plovdiv and Sofia. Tickets for the concert in Sofia cost 30, 40 and 80 leva. In the other cities prices are 10 and 15 leva.

FreeMix coincides with the release of Vassilev’s new album Free, which is to be on November 26 2007. The album contains nine new compositions and the bonus video Libertango, part of Vassilev’s co-operation with double world champions in figure skating Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviiski.
