National Historical Museum needs a special building

Date: 29.01.2008

The National Historical Museum in Bulgaria should be accommodated in a specially designed building, which should meet the specific requirements of the institution – exposition, funds, laboratories. The building’s area should be no less that 50,000 square meters and it should be situated in an area, easily accessible by the residents and guests of Sofia, the Director of the National Historical Museum in Bulgaria Prof. Bozhidar Dimitrov said. Dimitrov was speaking after a comment made by the President of the country yesterday during a news conference on the occasion of one year in office, where the President said he supports the construction of a new building for the museum. At the moment the museum is housed at one of the buildings of the Boyana Presidential residency.
