Date: 08.11.2008

An exhibit presenting masterpieces of the great artist Pablo Picasso is going to open doors at the National Gallery of Foreign Art in Sofia on December 17.

The exhibit includes graphics, oil and water-color paintings, textile and drawings, along with 25 unique pictures of the artist himself, photographed by Picasso's friend - the French photographer Lucien Clergue.

The painting "Portrait of Paul," Picasso's fist born son, is considered one of the most interesting masterpieces in the exhibit. The paining is property of the Spanish Culture Ministry and has been displayed only twice - in Barcelona in 2003 and in Paris in 2006.

Picasso created his son's portrait in 1922 and never parted with it.

The most expensive masterpiece to be on display in Sofia is valued at EUR 7,5 M.

The exhibit titled: "I am not looking; I find - Pablo Picasso" is organized by Barouh and Partners and with the M-Tel financial support.
