Glamour and GQ to be published in Bulgaria in 2009

Date: 16.11.2008

The two world-famous lifestyle magazines will find their place on the Bulgarian market after publisher Spas Roussev completed his successful negotiations with Greek company Liberis Publications. The latter has the exclusive rights to circulate the whole portfolio of Conde Nast Publications (CNP), the largest publisher in the world, Dnevnik daily reported.

In addition to Glamour and GQ, CNP produces luxury publications such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, Allure and The New Yorker, among others. However, it is not clear whether any of these will be published in Bulgarian and when.

According to Spas Roussev, owner of publishing house Media 555, the financial crisis was not a threat to the company's plans and he was working on placing editorial staff for the two magazines.

Media 555 publishes Ego, which will have its last issue in November. The Greek office announced that the starting capital will amount to 300,000 euro, and Liberis Publications will hold 75 per cent of the shares.
