Bulgaria Rightist Party Offers 10 Anti-Crisis Measures

The Bulgarian Rightist United Democratic Forces (UDF) party has presented Tuesday 10 anti-crisis measures. Among the suggested measures are a decrease of the insurance weight by 5 percentage point from January 2010, and cutting the taxes for sole traders from 15 to 10 %.

“These measures will not cost a lot of money to the state budget. The decrease in the insurance wight will immediately lead to increase in the incomes from corporative taxes, taxes from physical persons, and value added taxes (VAT)”, UDF's chair, Martin Dimitrov explained.

In his words, all the measures will cost the budget not more that BGN 150 M in the worst case.

“When the results of the audits of the Council of Ministers and the Agriculture Fund are ready, and we all see how much money were spend in vain, these measures will seen small and can be made, if such expenses are cut”, Dimitrov said.
