Citroen, Sebastien Loeb Win Rally Bulgaria

Date: 11.07.2010

Six-time world champion from the World Rally Championship Sebastien Loeb of the Citroen Total team has won Rally Bulgaria.

Thus, Loeb is getting closer to a seventh world title increasing his lead as Rally Bulgaria is counted as round seven of the World Rally Championship.

Loeb ended rally Bulgaria with 29.5 seconds ahead of his teammate with another Citroen C4, Dani Sordo.

All first four spots remained for Citroen C4 drivers, which is the first team this has happened at the WRC since 1993 when Toyota achieved a similar success.

Rally Bulgaria took place July 9-11 around Borovets, Bulgaria's oldest winter resort which hosted Alpine ski World Cup races in the 1980s.

Rally Bulgaria is the first of the four tarmac events in the second half of the 2010 WRC calender.

The Rally has total length of 1 068.30 km with 14 Special Stages (353.34 km) all in asphalt. Its route is very compact and selective and it passes trough beautiful Bulgarian countryside.
