Mario al-Jeburi heads Bulgarian tourism

Mario al-Jeburi is the new Chairman of the Bulgarian Agency for Tourism. He was appointed to the post under a decision of the Cabinet, taken at its regular sitting in Thursday.

Mario al-Jeburi was born in 1973. He graduated from the Civil Engineering University in the UK. From June 2002 to August 2004, al-Jeburi was appointed a foreign investments advisor to then minister of economy Nikolay Vassilev. After Vassilev was re-appointed as minister of transport and communications, al-Jeburi became an advisor to former PM Simeon Saxcoburggotski and coordinator of the activities connected with the participation of Bulgaria in the post-war restoration of Iraq. Mario's father is an Iraqi citizen.
