Bulgaria Industrial Association Bestows In-5 Awards

Three businesses and two research institutes received the annual In-5 awards of the Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA).

The awards are bestowed for contributions to the development of Bulgaria's economy while the In-5 stands for the five pillars of economic prosperity: industry, innovations, investments, intellect and initiative.

The recipients received their awards from Bulgaria's Deputy Prime Minister in Charge of the European Funds, Meglena Plugchieva, and the Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank, Ivan Iskrov.

The winners of the BIA awards are the "Devin" company (producer of non-alcoholic beverages) , DZU (the company deals with electromechanical assembly, and electronics manufacturing services and is based on the southern city of Stara Zagora), the Sofia engineering company "Spesima" and the two research institutes - one at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the other at the Technical University in Sofia.

The recipients received an "Ikar" statuette and were listed in the BIA's Golden Book.
