El Dorado to the South of Breznik

Date: 10.07.2011

A new gold vein was discovered containing 2.5 million tons of gold ore

A real golden city lies in the heart of the hills near the town of Breznik, western Bulgaria. A new precious metals vein was discovered, released the official website of Canadian EurOmax Resources. The vein is estimated to contain about 2.5 million tons of gold. About 463000 ounces of gold and 2.1 million ounces of silver are expected to be extracted from it. The ore is scattered at an area of 1.5 sq km at about 150 m under the ground. Each tone of ore from the new finding will produce about 3.03 grams of gold and 8.9 grams of silver and other metals, the Canadians release.

The new deposit is situated at about 130 metres to the south of the currently working mine. The research has showed that other such veins will inevitably show up if digging is continued to the south.
